Shop Facility and Furniture Gallery: Nestled within a historic 1790's meeting house, our Cape Island Woodworks location has undergone recent expansions to accommodate our growing needs. Our front rooms now serve as a furniture gallery, showcasing pieces transitioning to new homes.

John Hassay - Owner of Cape Island Woodworks
John grew up in Cape May’s historic district and after graduating from Cape May County Technical High School in 1985, went to work in construction and gravitated to interior and exterior millwork. In 1994, John embarked on his journey and started Cape Island Woodworks, and since then, it's blossomed into the well known business recognized by locals and business owners alike. Whether you're planning a large-scale woodworking project or just looking to add a touch of craftsmanship to a cozy corner, John and his trusted team are here to help. Brian Lee, our talented local musician, leads our CNC design and programming with skill and precision. John’s son, Collin, oversees sales, marketing, advertising, and ensures a smooth, personalized client experience at Cape Island Woodworks. Whether your woodworking needs are old, new, residential or commercial, our experienced team caters to all who come!
Brian Lee - CNC Programmer & Designer
Brian is our skilled CNC programmer and designer, known for his precision, creativity, and craftsmanship. A multi-talented artisan and accomplished singer/songwriter, Brian has been an integral part to Cape Island Woodworks for over nine years now. Working with Brian’s expertise has played a major role in elevating the quality and creativity of our custom projects.
Collin Hassay - Marketing Specialist
Collin leads all sales, marketing, advertising, and customer communications for Cape Island Woodworks. A recent graduate of Immaculata University and proud alumnus of the men’s soccer team, Collin brings a high level of creativity and a strong focus on our client experience to every aspect of the business. With a background in marketing and advertising, Collin is dedicated to driving growth and elevating the Cape Island Woodworks brand leading into the future.
